Night 1: Travel to Kudremukh

You start at night for this 280 km journey. Drive through the incredible views of the Shirdi ghats leading up till the Kumar Parvat base (Kukke Subramanya). Entire stretch through the Shirdi ghat section, you will have the mountain and the cliffs on your right side and the deep valleys, ravines and forests on the left. We stop on the way for tea and coffee, then onwards to a midnight journey till Kukke. You reach early in the morning to the hotel and freshen up.

Day 1: Trek to Kumara Parvatha Peak

Early morning you reach base camp that is Kukke Subramanya, after reaching the hotel we freshen up quickly and have a nice breakfast. The trek starts from a place a kilometer away from Kukke Subramanya temple. Trek through thick forest for the first half, which will take around 3/4 hrs time till Bhattara Mane. On the way, mid point is Bhima Stone( giant boulder) where you can get some rest.  In the entire trek Bhattara mane is the only house you come across and this is the place where you can rest, you will get simple food, get sufficient water to quench your thirst and camping overnight under the stars.

Your second half will start from Bhattara Mane to Kallu Mantapa (small stone shelter) and it will take around two hrs time. Now the route is mostly open meadows with stunning views and gradual ascends. Third half is Kallumantapa to Shesha Parvatha, this is the toughest part of this trek, you will be walking uphill on 60 degree to 70 degree slope for almost 2 kms, it tests your fitness physically and mentally, keep the pace steady and you can feel the cloud cover at this peak fool you to believe that this is it but the real peak is still half an hour away. Shesha Parvatha is the most scenic place and it cannot be described in words. Final fourth half (stretch) is just a 45 min walk from Shesha Parvatha and one has to make their way through the thick misty forests and boulder to reach the peak. Finally you can see Karnataka Flag hoisted and this is your final destination. This challenges your physical and mental endurance but you will be rewarded once you reach the top, all your pain vanishes into oblivion once you reach the top. After spending some time there, we retrace the same trail back till forest check post. Overnight stay in tents on sharing basis.

Day 2:  Trek to Bhattarmane to Kukke

Today is the last day of the trek, early morning after freshening up we start winding-up the camp and start trek towards the Kukke. Same forest trail will be followed while getting down. It will take approx 3 hrs time to reach Kukke. Vehicle will be waiting at Kukke, once everyone reaches, the trek leader will take final head count and start your journey back to Bangalore. On the way we stop the vehicle for self sponsored lunch at Hassan. Reaching Bangalore around 8/9 PM.
