Netrani Island, also called pigeon island is a small uninhabited island, 20 km southwest off a small fishing village, Murudeshwar in the Indian state of Karnataka. The island is famous for its Shiva temple and for having some of the best dive sites in India. For those who love water sports, a trip to Murudeswar is not complete without a boat trip to Netrani Island where you get to do Scuba diving and Snorkelling. Being about 20 Km from beach, it takes about 90 minutes to reach the dive site. The dive sites range from 6 to 40 metres deep, also famous for their clear water and visibility from 15 to 30 meters. The most difficult part here is making the first jump and the second difficult task now becomes stopping you from jumping, this is known as cliff-jumping.
